Co-Curriculars

Activities Mission Statement

Appleton North has a proud tradition of providing meaningful learning and leadership opportunities for its students through a wide variety of co-curricular activities. Our goal is to lead with integrity as coaches and advisors, maintain clear and consistent expectations, and provide opportunities for growth that help students develop both inside and outside of the classroom.

Co-curricular participation plays a vital role in the overall educational experience by fostering leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and character. These opportunities allow students to build relationships, develop lifelong skills, and strengthen their connection to the school community.

Participation in co-curricular activities is a privilege that motivates students to maintain success in the classroom while encouraging personal growth and achievement beyond academics. Together, we are committed to creating positive experiences that support the development of well-rounded students and future leaders.

From the Activities Director

With a proud tradition in activities and athletics, the Appleton North community is in relentless pursuit of providing an optimal environment on the field, in the gym, in the classroom, and beyond. Appleton North High School athletics offers 22 different varsity sports—eleven boys/eleven girls, including several JV teams in specific sports.

We currently provide over 40 additional selections of clubs and co-curricular activities that best suit our student population as we strive to create well-rounded individuals that are equipped with the life skills needed to serve as productive members of society.

Extracurricular activities are an integral part of any school community. Appleton North’s extracurricular programs provide students an opportunity to develop the whole child.

At Appleton North, we believe that by providing a diverse selection of opportunities to participate in athletics/activities, we offer students experiences that will encourage a positive work ethic that can become a lifelong asset.

We ask our athletes, coaches, and teams to set attainable goals with clear and concise strategies to fulfill those goals.

I look forward to working alongside our students, coaches, staff, and Appleton North Community as a whole. Together, we will continue to provide opportunities to our student population as we continue to build on our already strong tradition. Go Lightning!!
