PARKING
Parking will be available for the commencement ceremony throughout the campus, except for the staff parking lot in front of the building. Here is a MAP for your convenience. North makes every effort to accommodate guests with mobility challenges. Limited mobility parking will be available to guests on a first-come, first-served basis. It is strongly recommended that guests with special needs arrive on campus early.
TICKETS
Tickets are required to gain entry. All guests wishing to view the Commencement Ceremony in person must have a ticket supplied by the candidate for graduation. Every graduate will be granted a specific number of tickets. To comply with fire codes and capacity restrictions, every person–including children, must have a ticket to enter the gym. Infants and toddlers will also require tickets. Graduates do not need a ticket for the ceremony. No extra tickets will be made available. If you need extra tickets, we recommend that you connect with other Senior students/families. Graduation tickets may not be sold.
GUEST SEATING
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. No saving of seats is permitted. All guests will be required to sit in the upper seating area. Floor seating is reserved for graduates and faculty.
A limited number of seats have been reserved on the gym floor behind the graduates' seating for individuals with limited mobility or ADA requirements. Each person with limited mobility is allowed one companion to sit with them in this section. We cannot accommodate large families sitting together. Thank you for adhering to these guidelines.
ENTRANCE
Entry to the Commencement is through Door 32 in the back of the school. Once inside, guests will be required to enter through the side doors of the gymnasium.
STROLLERS
To avoid blocking walkways and impeding traffic flow, we ask that all strollers be parked in a designated area outside the gym. We will have an area labeled “Stroller Parking” in the Commons. Please plan accordingly if you are bringing a stroller.
LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS
North is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Graduates are encouraged to leave personal items (for example, purses and other valuable items) with family or friends. North does not have a location to store these items.
PRESENTATION OF GRADUATES
Our graduates will be presented in alphabetical order rather than by homeroom. We are sharing this information so you can plan accordingly if you wish to watch your graduates as they enter the ceremony and as they proceed to the stage for the presentation of diplomas.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOS
We are excited to partner with Network Photography to capture your senior’s special day. Photographers will be on-site throughout graduation night to capture moments before, during, and after the ceremony. Most importantly, they will have exclusive access near the stage to photograph each graduate as they receive their diploma—access that will not be available to families. Let the professionals capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments so you can relax and enjoy the celebration. To receive photo notifications, simply scan the QR code or click the link to register. You'll be able to preview all images before making any purchases.
Personal use of cameras without flash and hand-held video cameras is permitted as long as one remains in their seat and respects the viewing rights of graduation attendees. Flash photography and stand-up videotaping are not permitted. The use of tripods is also prohibited.
EXTRAS
Noisemakers (including air horns or whistles) and signs (including posters and banners) are not permitted in the graduation venue, and their use is strictly prohibited. The throwing and/or possession of beach balls, balloons, confetti, or other related items at the graduation ceremony is strictly prohibited.
ALTERNATE CEREMONY VIEWING OPTIONS
On-campus viewing option: Guests may view the ceremony from the Library (LMC), where we will LIVESTREAM the event on the big screen. No tickets are needed for the theatre.
The commencement ceremony will also be available via LIVESTREAM on the Appleton North High School homepage.
