New Identity!
🎩🚃On May 20th, North will become the first High School to follow the Minor League Baseball model of creating and playing under an alternate identity, and the Baseball and Softball teams are extremely excited! Here are some of the things happening that day related to the "Showstoppers".
The name Showstoppers originates from the description by townspeople of America's first electric streetcar, as well as Appleton's favorite son, the Showstopper himself, Harry Houdini!
We shared on our social media platforms an unveiling of the name, logos, and jerseys on April 22. You can see those using the links below:
We will have tables set up for community organizations to share the history of Appleton and its links to the streetcars, Hydroelectric power, Houdini, and baseball in the Fox Valley!
List of Attendees:
- Appleton Historical Society
- Outagamie Historical Society
- Hearthstone Museum
- Wisconsin Timber Rattlers
We will be selling/auctioning off merchandise at the Baseball and Softball game, with proceeds going to North Activities and the 3 non-profits listed above!
